Member Terms and Election Cycle
A board member serves a four-year term and members can choose to run for a second, continuous term. School Board Elections occur during the November General Election on odd years.
Prospective Candidates
The names of prospective candidates are not public. The district only releases the names of official candidates after the petition filing deadline.
Prospective Information Session
Anyone interested in running for our board may attend an information session hosted by the district 4 – 6 months prior to an election. Prospective candidates will receive information about candidate packet pick-up, petitions and deadlines. Attendees will also learn about logistics and have the opportunity to ask questions.
