The Academy District 20 Board of Education represents community member’s voices and works toward continual improvement of student achievement. In compliance with state and federal laws, the board establishes policies and regulations. Specifically, the board of education:

Policy Governance

The Academy District 20 Board of Education uses Policy Governance. Informally known as the Carver model, Policy Governance is a system that defines and guides appropriate relationships between an organization's owners, its board of education and the superintendent. Policy details.

Board Meetings

The Academy District 20 Board of Education holds regular meetings at the Academy District 20 Education and Administration Center, 1110 Chapel Hills Dr., on the first and third Thursday of each month. Meetings begin at 5 p.m. and are open to the public. Board Meeting details.
