Set up. Design. General maintaining of site.
Navigation, creation of pages for teachers, links

Everything except Library and Resource pages
I set up the site initially but now teachers and admin share documents they upload to the site.
I feel that I am knowledgeable in most areas, especially the areas I do routinely. I have not deleted teacher pages.
Practice, but somethings are only used at the beginning of the year so I get a little rusty. The Sharepoint help documents are very helpful.

Updating calendar, photos, links. Updating school content on the activities, look, and learn pages.
Built the site structure. Now mostly just make sure permissions are accurate.
Maintaining the sites as they currently are
I would like new ideas or insights into how to make sites better, what type of content to include
The ready made directions are super helpful!!! Thank you :)

The home page, logins page, and main pages for our parents and community. Also the library media center pages (40+)
Main webmaster. Setting up all the pages for teams, departments, committees, admin, etc.
views, calendars, layering for colorcoding,
how to edit the text with sizes and colors without going into the HTML view. It doesn't always work like WYSIWYG!

Until recently I was responsible for everything on the external site. From now on the teachers are responsible for their grade level pages as well as the clubs they sponsor.
I created the structure and I am the one who can make changes. The office staff is in charge of the master calendar and all the teachers can upload documents.
Need review on calendars, web parts, permissions, pages layouts
Would prefer several days/times options for workshops. Last year was only on Fridays and that didn't work for me many times.
|8/25/2014 12:37 PM|
Teachers maintain their own classroom sites and the office secretary maintains the calendar updated but I do everything else.
I put together the structures and I manage permissions. The staff at my school use our 20Net pretty independently (but they all call it "SharePoint" and that's confusing sometimes.
I have a long background in web design but I find SharePoint pretty rigid for desinging attractive pages. I'm good at listening to what my colleagues need for their 20Net tasks and websites and I can usually find a good solution for them.
I need more help to create and use "buckets" for permissions. I need help cleaning up the permissions groups that I already have.
It takes 10 clicks for me to publish an external page. I'd like to know how to streamline that.

Adding new dates to main calendar. Updating PTA website. Adding new teachers links. Updating important events. Attaching important docs. Adding kid friendly websites.
Adding documents. Organizing folders for teachers.
Adding Links. Making the website user friendly and organized.
Fixing the approval process. Still taking forever even after I sat for a hour making the change to each page. Still requires me to go to Mangage Content, Drafts, Pending.

Kym Gile and I share the responsibility and we share just about everything. I have more control of a few of the sites.
not as much.
Making sites look good! Coordinating with users to make sure their sites correctly show their information as needed/requested.
Host training. Offer days where we can come to the EAC and work on our pages. Time away from our building so that we can concentrate.

Most of the pages except for the teachers' pages
I would be responsible for more of it if we used it. SITW has extremely limited service and thus items stored there and action done this way is terribly slow. We need to be more nimble and use a site-based public drive that all of us have access to.
I rated myself very low in most areas because I often need support to do most of those things. Or at least, I may need some reteaching. I felt like it was a huge push in my learning curve when the initial training started . Due to the many other roles I play at the school I do not spend much time on this aspect. I try to keep our external face up to date and feel this is pretty much all I can do.
I think some one on one talks going through the site and providing suggestions along with some assistance making the changes. The support I have had with IT folks has really been helpful so far. I want to keep the process simple, yet valuable.
You two have your work cut out for you and I appreciate the opportunity to provide more detailed feedback. I am sure you have suggestions that could improve our site and make it even easier to manage. I need to get the approval process removed from the pages I need to change. This has been done with a few, but I would like it done with most. The back and forth and repeated wrong paths makes me spend 2-3 times the amount I should and frankly, I find myself less likely to even want to get on and make changes. Removing this barrier would be very helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know our thoughts about these areas/issues.

I was trained during the inital Sharepoint workshops but the BTC did all of the work to build the website. She is no longer employed and I haven't done anything since to do the website.
Training on how to upload photos and any other updates that school needs
Traingin on how to do calendar, any other things that need to happen regularly
It would be helpful to have an office worker as well trained so that it isn't just me

I am not presently responsible for anything except my Library Page, but I will be gaining more responsibility for our site as we transition and as our BTC retires after this year.
I really need to learn from the beginning.
I would like to take an after school class if you offer one.
I also need to make time and play around with Sharepoint.

Maintaining existing Website, creating teacher pages. I gave our admin secretary permissions to do our calendar and contacts site. I have no way to keep up with that since I don't know the comings and goings of staff.
After the initial set up, no.
I know the basics, but when problems arrise I am not sure how to fix it.
Trainings that I could actually go to. I could not go to trainings last year because I would need a sub. This year my schedule is more flexible.
When I ask for help, I would like to know exactly how you fixed it.

The whole enchilada! Whatever is for the school in general. The teachers take care of their own, but I do the rest.
I did the setup and transferred all of the files from Staff Public, but now everyone is responsible for their own files. If we need additional tags, I will take care of those.
I would like to know some extra things that we could potentially do with or add to our site. I know how to take care of the normal, everyday stuff, but I know that we are only scratching the surface of the power of SharePoint.
I am going to be having some classes for my teachers to help them with routine tasks. This is a lot of new info for them, and a lot of SharePoint is NOT intuitive! Thank you, Guy and Terralee, for all of your support!

Do not know at this time. Due to district changes, my role has been changed. I am not sure of what I am working on at this time.
Same as above.
Working on general web content and adding to our main calendar on our home page.
Train classroom teachers more. They want to add images and stuff to their sites. Offer more training from district for them.
Just a thanks for all the past training and help. I have really appreciated it.

All of it, except teacher sites. I am trying to promote/get staff to take ownership/responsibility for content in their areas. It seems very difficult to get staff to put documents out there and get them to keep it up-to-date, without me having to do it for them.
All of it. I am trying to promote/get staff to take ownership/responsibility for content in their areas.
Views. How to enter and maintain data in one place and use it in multiple views and pages.
Although I selected Expert/Master on most of the skill level, I really don't consider myself as an expert in SharePoint, more along the lines between Expert/Master and Knowledgeable. I don't know what I don't know.
