Thirteen of our seniors were recently named semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Great!
The Air Academy High School Cross Country Team was ranked second in the U.S. Great!
I was recently joined by members of the D20 Teacher Cadet Program to discuss the opportunities available as they consider careers in education. Great!
When I reflect on the great moments happening in our district, I am filled with joy and pride. But sometimes we become so busy, we forget to notice all the great around us. I encourage each of you to take a few moments to celebrate the great happenings in your schools and classrooms. When you do, please email us those moments, and we’ll share them with the community.

Mill Levy Override (MLO) & School Board Candidate Election Information
On Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, El Paso County will hold an election. Our district will have both a Mill Levy Override (MLO) question, and a school board election question on the ballot. We want to ensure you have all the information about both the MLO and board elections to make an informed decision.

October Districtwide Parent Academies
There are still four more Parent Academies to take advantage of this month. You can learn how to handle school avoidance, apply for college and financial aid, and have an opportunity to “ask a therapist.”

Cybersecurity Awareness Month
The cybersecurity and digital privacy of our D20 community is important. Throughout the month of October, Cybersecurity Month, we will share tips to help you and your students stay safe and protected. Please be sure to check our website announcement feed and your 20Alerts each week to learn more.
Impact Aid Survey
This month our schools are sending home Impact Aid Survey Forms. These forms help us apply for much needed Federal Impact Aid funding. The deadline to sign, date, and return the form to your student’s school is Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023.
