Academy District 20 Team One,
Last week several D20 staff attended the State of the City Address. We connected with community leaders, built partnerships, and listened to Mayor Yemi Mobolade’s inspirational speech where he said by, “working together and being transparent, proactive and approachable, we can create a city where everyone thrives.” As he spoke, it occurred to me, he could have just as easily been talking about our school district. Together, as Team One, we can ensure our students not only learn, but also thrive by having the knowledge, skills, and character necessary for successful transition to the next level and upon graduation be fully prepared for success.
