Welcome back to a new school year in Academy District 20.  We thank everyone who was able to attend our first SEAC meeting on September 21.  There was a good turnout between in-person and virtual participants.

September’s meeting highlighted Project Search which is an opportunity for students in the transition program to participate in internships through partnership with UC Health. Thank you to Cynthia Lorenc for taking the time to share this opportunity with our group.

In addition, Michael Arsenault, Director for Human Resources, provided district updates in relation to staff recruitment and retention.  He shared the various ways the district is working to achieve competitive salary and benefits to eliminate current staffing shortages.

We have 3 remaining SEAC meetings for the year.  All meetings are held at the EAC from 5:00-6:30pm.  As a reminder, Teams is an available option for participation.
