Academy District 20 Team One,
We have exciting new initiatives underway, such as the development of our Portrait of a Graduate. Last week, nearly 50 principals, students, staff members, and parents came together to begin prototyping and co-creating the essential skills that we desire for our students to possess when they graduate.
Similarly, we continue to grow our Career Academy Programs and community partnerships to better serve students. We hope you can join us at our College and Career Services Student & Parent Night, on Jan. 25, from 6 – 7:30 p.m., at Chinook Trail Middle School. This event will help students and parents better understand our district-sponsored College and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
This month we are also celebrating National School Board Appreciation Month. Please join me in extending thanks to our Board of Education Directors, Aaron Salt, Nicole Konz, Amy Shandy, Derick Wilburn, Lauren Yanez, and Col. Save the Date: D20 Job Fair
On Feb. 24, 2024, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., at Liberty High School you can learn about the many licensed and classified positions available in D20 including teachers, bus drivers, paraprofessionals, security officers, custodians, crossing guards and more.

Liberty grad whose parents built the house she spent three years construction in high school,
an Encompass Heights student whose art is feature in the Battle of the Books, and

Upcoming Districtwide Parent Academies
There are a host of Parent Academies this month, including the districtwide College and Career Student and Parent Services Night. Other topics include understanding dyslexia, and recreational drugs impacting our teens.
