Details

  • Summer programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure a spot in your desired class, register and pay online. Register and pay for classes in the Infinite Campus Summer School Store.

  • Students must have attended a D20 school within the current school year and have a current student ID number before summer School registration.

Tuition

  • Register and pay for classes in the Infinite Campus Summer School Store. Summer school fees are paid via secure online payment and are nonrefundable unless the class is canceled due to low enrollment. Parents must have created a parent portal account and added a form of payment.

  • Tuition for Middle School Outdoor Ed is $100 and $58.50 for Band unless otherwise noted. Tuition has increased this year, however still at a reduced rate as state funding was procured to offset costs that are typical of Summer School. 

    • If your family has been approved for free or reduced meals, the tuition amount will be automatically adjusted during the online registration process.

Session 1: Timberview Middle School

Fishing the Springs  - One Week  

Have you ever wanted to hook “the big one?” Would you like to make lifetime memories while learning more about fishing opportunities in the Colorado Springs area? If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, then this class is for you!

We will spend every day in the great outdoors learning more about fishing and other factors affecting the aquatic environments in the Pikes Peak region. Students will take a bus from Timberview to their location each day. 

  • June 10-14

  • Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • Tuition: $100

Hiking the Hills - One Week  

Do you enjoy spending time outdoors? Would you like to learn more about hiking and nature in the Pikes Peak area? If you answered “Yes” to either of these questions, then this class is for you!

We will spend every day in the great outdoors getting in better shape by hiking while gaining an increased appreciation for the beautiful area we live in. This class will take field trips to different locations in and around the Pikes Peak area. Daily hikes of 5-7 miles will form a core part of this class. 

  • June 17-21

  • Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • Tuition: $100

Rocky Mountain Adventure

  • Must be registered and paid for by May 22, 2024

June Band 

Band classes will be constructed with student safety in mind. A limited number of participants per session per instrument. Learn more in our 2024 Summer Band Specifics announcement.

    • Beginning Brass, M-F, 9 a.m. -9:45 a.m. 

    • Beginning Woodwinds, M-F, 10 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. 

    • Beginning Percussion, M-F, 11 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

    • Concert Band, M-F, 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. 

    • Jazz Band, M-F, 12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.

Session 2: Mountain Ridge Middle School 

Great Outdoors, Adventure and Leadership (GOAL) – One Week

Students will become skilled in wilderness navigation and survival. Along the way, each student will develop a greater sense of leadership and team-building skills through challenging group experiences. Students will take a bus from Challenger to their location each day. 

  • July 8-12

  • Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • Tuition: $100

Geocaching 101 - One Week  

Geocaching is a fun outdoor activity where students use GPS receivers or mobile devices to hide and find containers, or "geocaches", located anywhere in the world. In Geocaching 101, students will learn navigation skills, teamwork, and collaboration through the greatest outdoor scavenger hunt on Earth. With trips to local parks, participants will have the chance to find multiple geocaches and develop a lifelong passion for this awesome pastime. Students will hike from 4-6 miles daily during this course.

  • July 15-19
