Pikes Peak Community College Area Vocational Program is primarily for students who are interested in pursuing an associate’s degree or certificate in a career and technical field or entering the job market directly after finishing high school. Courses provide core academic and elective credit. Specific credits vary by program. AVP credit in core areas will not fulfill NCAA athletic course requirements. International Salon and Spa Academy (ISSA) program is a two-year course of study designed to train high school juniors and seniors to become hairstylists. The program prepares students to sit for the hairstylist examination given by the Office of Barber and Cosmetology Licensure for the State of Colorado. Courses provide core academic and elective credit.
