PLAN Test and ACT Plan Information
PLAN Test – 10th graders will be offered the opportunity to take the PLAN test on April 23rd (when juniors take the ACT). Students taking the PLAN will be excused from morning classes as per the ACT schedule outlined. Sophomores are NOT excused after the PLAN Test for the remainder of the day. The fee for the test is $13.00. Sign-ups and fees (cash only) will be taken April 3rd through April 9th during Academy and/or lunch.
ACT Plan (pre-ACT) is a curriculum-based achievement/college readiness test that assesses students in four core areas of their studies, English, Math (pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry), Reading and Science.  ACT's College Readiness Standards, upon which ACT Plan is based, are aligned with the Common Core State Standards. PLAN is designed for 10th graders and the ACT is designed for 11th and 12th graders. Student PLAN scores can be used to predict how they are likely to do if they take the ACT as an 11th or 12th grader and keep working hard. Students are strongly encouraged to take the Plan test.
