2014 - 2015 Check-in Packet
Summer Information
Greetings Kadet families:
District 20 high schools will be closed to the public for a few weeks this summer to help assist in sustainability efforts in Academy District 20. The building will be closed on June 23 and will reopen July 21. Office hours beginning July 21 will be 9 a.m. -2 p.m. each weekday until Aug. 4, when normal office hours will resume.
Taking this action will save energy in our schools and will allow for our facilities department to conduct any maintenance or repairs.
New students will be able to see counselors beginning August 7. To make an appointment to see a counselor, please call 719-234-2400 during office hours before June 23 and after July 21. Transcript requests will be filled during office hours and requests can be made via phone at the number above or email to joan.nachbar@asd20.org.
You will still be able to contact our school if you have specific questions during our building closure. Please email dan.olson@asd20.org. If you have general questions about enrollment or need a transcript while the building is closed, please call 719-234-1200 and ask for Central Registry.
I look forward to meeting all of our incoming freshmen on the first day of school, Aug. 18. On Aug. 19, we welcome back all of our students.

Fall Arena Information
Students may change their schedule during the following times:
Seniors:  Tuesday August 12  8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Juniors:  Wednesday August 13  12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Sophomores:  Thursday August 14  8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Make Up/ Last Chance:  Friday August 15 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
·         If you are not available during your assigned time please contact your grade level counselor to discuss options.

AAHS Earns Local Honor

Air Academy High School was voted one of the top 3 high schools in The Gazette's "Best of the Springs."

 

 First Days of School Information

 
​The first day for all incoming 9th graders and all NEW 10-12th graders is August 18th.
  • ​All incoming 9th graders will have a full day (7:45am - 2:45pm). Students do not need backpacks, but do need to bring a bagged lunch or money to buy a lunch. Students will need a copy of their schedule from Infinite Campus. This day is all about fun and getting to know AAHS! 
  • All NEW 10-12th graders will meet from 9:00am to 2:45pm. Students will:
    • ​Meet at the main entrance of the school
    • Meet other 10-12th graders new to AAHS this year
    • Take a school tour and find classes
    • Meet AAHS staff members
    • Get tips from AAHS classmates
    • Have fun!
    • Lunch is on us!
The first day for all other students is August 19th, which will be an 8 period day.
