Antelope Trails Elementary was authorized as an
International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school in 2007.

The Primary Years Program (PYP), is one of three programmes
offered by the IB Organization. 

The PYP is a framework guided by six transdisciplinary themes
of global significance, using knowledge and skills derived
from six subject areas.

It utilizes a philosophy of teaching which emphasizes the inquiry method,
a powerful vehicle for all learners. 

It promotes genuine understanding and challenges students
to engage in the study of universal ideas.

Learning a second language (Spanish) and community service are also
major components of the IBPYP.
