The majority of Rampart IB graduates go to state universities with the majority going to either University of Colorado at Boulder or Colorado State University. Other universities include Colorado School of Mines, Denver University, CalTec, Harvard, Notre Dame, Brown University, George Washington, Kansas University, University of Tulsa, University of Paris, Texas A&M, Bethel College, Stanford, Wheaton University, to name a few.
 
The IB Organization works with universities and governments worldwide to ensure that the IB diploma is accepted, or "recognized", by universities. The IB diploma is recognized by 1,079 universities in 102 countries, including all of North America, Western Europe and Australia.
 
The Colorado State Legislature recognized the merits of the programme in 2003 by granting all recipients of an IB Diploma sophomore standing (24 credits) in any state university within Colorado (excluding the School of Mines).
 
The IBO maintains a database of universities that recognize the IB diploma and the universities' requirements for admission.
